Catching Up

I had been neglecting the freezer for a while and we ran out of home-made goodies. The last few days have seen two batches of buttermilk biscuits, a batch of plain scones, cranberry/blueberry scones, a batch of tortillas, two loaves of white bread, and a couple pounds of refried beans stocked back in the freezer.

Still need Parker House rolls, beer rolls, whole wheat pita, sandwich rye, wheat bread, a few loaves of sourdough, some black beans done up for beans and rice, a couple batches of stew, and need to roast a turkey for stock-ification and to have some breast meat in the freezer.

All the rain has not stopped my bike riding, but frequent lightning has certainly lessened it. Need to fill the time somehow. And tasty corn season is around the corner to try corncob jelly…I have become my grandmother.
