I am getting my name on a production list for my very own serpent. They have tugged at my heart for years and my wife finally caved when I saved the money for one. Yaaaaaaaaaay!
Ordered an inexpensive AR lower despite my general dislike of the platform*. I’ll build a no-frills carbine with a light barrel and rail-less round handguard for newbies at the range and maybe one of the kids will want it when they get older.
I might even get an A2 upper just to rile the feathers of some HSLD types.
* Largely at my wife’s encouragement. “That’s all the lower costs? Buy one even if just as a little way to tell Feinstein to pound sand.” Okay.
Mushrooms browned in a bit of duck fat with some salt, pepper, and maybe some tarragon is pretty much the best thing ever.
Just spent some Christmas money ordering a student-grade mandolin because my backlog of instruments to learn just isn’t long enough as it is.
At least it can keep me busy while the I.O.U. case of 7.62x39mm from my father gets off back-order and to me.
Have a merry Christmas, guys.
