That Damned Mother-In-Law

Just sent us an Xbox 360 as a Christmas present. I’ve only played Call Of Duty 2 and Half-Life 2 in the past two years. Having a video game console in the house will be different. It is hooked up, but the final set-up could use some tweaking to not make the television corner of the living room look like a nerdy mess.

I’m not really a vidya game guy, any good shooters come recommended on the platform? Not Halo, and I don’t think Fallout would be my thing.

Food Blogging will Resume

Using up the last pie crust to test a modified pumpkin pie recipe*, backing home-made wheat bread, and having turkey & black bean burritos for lunch.

*No one in the family has made good pumpkin pie except my sister and me. Yet, for some reason, other people always end up making the pie. My wife has ordered me to spend the year trying out recipes to field as good a pie as I can next Thanksgiving and to be the one to make it.

I Bought A New Album The Other Day

Do wrong Right by The Devil Makes Three, have a sample.

The Devil Makes Three – Poison Trees:

A folk-y punk band with acoustic guitar, upright bass, and tenor banjo and no fear of bluegrass themes and ragtime banjo riffs. I couldn’t not buy it.
